Description

The Elementary Reading and Math After School Program will offer reading interventions to 2nd & 3rd grade students and math interventions to 4th and 5th grade students. The intent of the program is to give students supplemental supports and an extra boost in the area of reading or math.  

 

Applicants must possess an active Elementary/Mid-Level Teaching Certification. We are seeking one teacher for each of the grades involved in the After School Program at the four elementary schools. The rate of pay is $46.87 per hour.

The program will run for 18 weeks, but will be broken into three, six-week sessions beginning in November and running through April. Teachers may choose all sessions, one session or a combination of any two sessions (please complete the preference form). See the specific time frames below.  


Session 1: November 7th – December 19th, 11 sessions

Program will not run the week of 11/25 due to conferences and the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

Session 2: January 7th – February 11th, 11 sessions

 

Session 3: February 25th – April 3rd, 11 sessions
No session on Thursday, March 13th due to early dismissal.

 

Sessions will be held for one hour twice per week (Tues & Thurs); students who are in the program are expected to attend both days.  Grade level group size is 15 students or less and student invitations will be based on data decisions at the school level.  There are 30 minutes per week of paid planning time.
